Hello, everyone! This is Leonardo Lippel, Executive at Greiner Bio-One Service Tech, and today I would like to propose something different for those of you who work in the area of clinical analysis or who are interested in the subject. Whenever we think of analysis laboratories, we think of accurate and reliable results, right? But before any result is released, there is a universe of initial steps that, if not carried out carefully, can compromise the entire diagnostic chain. This is called the pre-analytical phase.
To reinforce the importance of this stage and encourage reflection on everyday practices, I have prepared a quick quiz to test your knowledge. Remember: many times, problems generated in laboratories can be directly related to errors at the time of collection, transportation or initial handling of samples. Let's go!
These questions may seem simple, but each one reflects key problems that we see in the laboratory on a daily basis. Answer the questions and, most importantly, reflect on what failures can occur if each of these pre-analytical steps is not carefully followed.
You will see the result on another page after clicking Submit Responses.
Quiz: Conhecimentos sobre Pré-Analítica
"*" indicates required fields
Remember that successful diagnostics begin long before the analyzer turns on its lights and starts processing tests. Pre-analytical care ensures the reliability of results and, consequently, the safety of patients and the effectiveness of treatments.
