In June 2025, the 50th Brazilian Congress of Clinical Analysis (CBAC) will bring together thousands of professionals in Campinas-SP to discuss the most critical bottlenecks in laboratory medicine — from pre-analytical errors to pressure for accreditation. In this article, we show how Greiner Bio-One is coming to CBAC precisely to discuss these challenges, bringing an unprecedented immersive experience (Greiner Experience) and, of course, eTrack, our traceability platform that was created to attack the root of these problems.
Why is this CBAC so emblematic?
CBAC celebrates five decades as the largest congress of its kind in Latin America, planned by SBAC for June 15-18, 2025 at Expo Dom Pedro, in Campinas-SP. The historic edition promises keynote lectures, an exclusive forum for laboratory owners and the largest trade fair in the sector. More than 3,000 participants and ample networking space are confirmed, with registrations open since January.
The problem that still keeps laboratories awake at night
1. Persistent pre-analytical errors
Even with increasing automation, the sample collection and identification stage accounts for up to 70% of errors reported in clinical diagnoses — failures that generate rework, costs and risk to the patient.
2. Regulatory pressure and accreditation
Standards such as ISO 15189, PALC and RDC 786 require batch-to-batch traceability, quality indicators and ongoing audits. Many laboratories struggle to maintain consistent and auditable manual records.
3. Lack of time for data and decisions
Managers need real-time dashboards to take action before problems become nonconformities — something that’s rare when information is spread across spreadsheets.
Our participation: living the problem to inspire the solution
Greiner Experience – immersion in pre-analytical
At the Greiner Bio-One booth, we will invite visitors to take an interactive journey behind the scenes of the manufacturing of inputs and the pre-analytical flow, showing where errors arise and how to measure them. The action includes:
- Factory tour in Americana, an immersive experience that will take visitors on a detailed behind-the-scenes tour of the company through a guided tour of the factory;
- Hands-on demonstrations with the AV500 vein scanner, high-precision equipment that allows real-time visualization of veins at the time of puncture;
- The new Path Finder, developed to optimize the process of uncapping and distributing tubes on racks.
Focus on eTrack: traceability that arises from the problem
Instead of “showing the solution,” we will address the real pain: lack of visibility into who collected, which tube was used, batch, time, and patient satisfaction. eTrack will make this gap visible in real time at the conference:
- 2D reading before puncture — eliminates tube exchange error;
- Automatic batch/validity registration — meets ISO 15189/PALC requirements;
- Quality Dashboards — Collection TAT, patient satisfaction and more.
Final invitation
If you’re tired of misaligned spreadsheets, don’t miss the chance to experience the problem with us at the Greiner Bio-One booth. We’ll discuss error metrics, audits, and indicators in a hands-on way — and show you how eTrack fits in only after we understand your challenge.
Visit us at Expo Dom Pedro, June 16-18, and join the dialogue that can transform your pre-analytics.
Because before talking about a solution, we need to face the problem head on.
